Though they only make up a small percentage of the workforce, women are making huge contributions to the field through their work regarding algorithmic bias, emotional intelligence, and open source coding, among other categories. These six women ‘fiercely’ exemplify what it means to be a woman in AI and the innovation, perseverance, and passion it takes to get to the top.

From serving my country to serving humankind
I can still hear the echoes of “Jai Hind” that ring throughout Rashtrapathi Bhawan. I can still hear the ear-splitting screeches of the wild monkeys that ‘share’ the residence, and I can still feel the happiness of having the privilege to walk those corridors. Just a few months ago, I traded my position as Lieutenant Commander of the Indian Navy for a position as Chief Taskmaster of SAANS Health, and I cannot wait to see how I can continue to contribute to this trailblazing team and serve humankind.
